An early Dutch tin-glazed earthenware tile, hand-painted with a colourful bird, foliage and blue corner motifs. Likely Delft or surrounding area, circa 1625–1650.
The tile has attractive age-related craquelure and a beautifully weathered unglazed back. Approx. 1.5 cm is missing from the left side; originally square at around 13 × 13 cm.
Dimensions: 11.5 × 13 cm, 1.5 cm thick
Condition: Antique condition with edge losses, chips and a larger loss to the lower section. No visible restoration.
