NOTES:
This work, in my opinion, belongs to the 19th century and shows echoes of the French artist Eugene Delacroix. The scene is a common one in the 19th century - the poor destitute young mother. The artist's signature is not legible but it would appear to be potentially an old sketch by artists like Hughes Merles or Leon Perrault.
